In practice, I often see that new leaders

  • continue to focus on the content,
  • have difficulty delegating,
  • avoid or take personally resistance in teams and meetings,
  • focus too much on achieving goals, and forget to develop their employees.
  • lose themselves in the role or in their own negative thoughts.

 

Resulting in chronic stress, inner turmoil, loss of joy and purpose, and an increased risk of failure or cynicism.

It's usually not an individual problem and rarely involves motivation or intelligence. The core usually lies in the unfinished role transition.

Many (new) leaders:

  • lack clear delegation skills
  • don't know how to handle resistance and tension
  • revert to their old expert role

From Expert to Leader

is a fixed and proven leadership program of up to six months for medior and senior leaders who have recently taken on a leadership role.

 

Objective of the program:

Leaders learn to assert themselves in their roles, delegate responsibility, and deal constructively with resistance.

The leadership model:

  1. Taking a stand – clarity about roles and expectations
  2. Creating structure – frameworks for delegation and decision-making
  3. Managing tension – dealing with resistance and pressure
  4. Gradually letting go of control – increasing ownership in teams

This model creates a shared leadership language within the organization
